Maydena Bike Park offers a range of pass options to suit every rider. Ranging from our all-out Summit Uplift Passes giving access to Midline and Summit trailheads to the Mountain Pass (for those wishing to earn their turns) and our Lower Mountain Uplift giving access to the Lower Mountain Trailhead 230m above the base.

Currently, boasting 85+ individual trails including beginner & family-friendly rides, wilderness trail and epic pro trails. All trails capitalise on the park’s unique rainforest environment and up to 820m vertical elevation, offering trails of all types, for all abilities.

SUMMER SESSIONS EXTENDED PLAY
Every Friday through the summer months, you can purchase 3 hrs of extra uplifts. For $50 you can get 3 extra hours of riding, or this is a great way to kick off your weekend if you’ve just arrived. Each week we also host the Phat Friday Race Series! This series is an all-inclusive fun race that takes place on a different track each week.

THE ENDURO JAM
November 30th – December 1st 2024
2 Days of racing with categories for all ability levels, with unlimited uplifts to set the fastest time. All racers utilise unlimited uplifts to set the fastest time. The Enduro Jam is designed to provide a laid-back race environment, where riders can find their limit while experiencing the wide array of trails at Maydena Bike Park.

MAIN EVENT OF THE SUMMER
RED BULL HARDLINE & GRAVITY FEST
The main event of the summer, Red Bull Hardline is returning to Maydena Bike Park this February 7th – 8th.
Beyond the spectacle that is Red Bull Hardline, the race and ride program at Gravity Fest from January 31st includes; The Maydena Downhill Cup, Jump Jam, King and Queen of the Mountain and Kids Fest.
This is one not to be missed.
SUMMER EVENING DINING
SUMMIT SUNSET APRÈS
The Summit Sunset Aprés is the perfect way to wrap up your day in Tasmania’s Southwest. Enjoy local food from our chef Matt Griggs and refreshments from MooBrew and Willie Smiths as the sun sets over alpine views across the stunning Tasmanian Wilderness.

Available during school holidays
Maydena Adventure Camp is a 3-day kids camp focused on guided rides, coached skills sessions, bike games, nature walks and fun! Give your child the opportunity to experience the unique South West Tasmanian wilderness. Available on select dates over the summer school holidays these camps are great for children of all ages. Not to mention they have the bonus of giving parents the freedom to ride and explore, while their kids are fully supervised by our qualified and experienced guides. The Rockshox beer garden is the perfect location in summer to sit in the sun and enjoy some fine food head chef Matt Griggs has handcrafted from fresh local produce for the season. Usually over a refreshing Moo Brew beer, Willie Smiths Cider or Flat White made by our mountain biking baristas.

What days are you open throughout the summer?
Our operating hours change from season to season. Check out our operating hours for 22/23 here prior to booking your trip.
Can I ride the trails during an event?
The advantage of having 75+ trails is that event during an event we can still have the majority of the hill open to enjoy. Not to mention events are the best time to be in the park for a great atmosphere and entertainment.
I don't have a bike can I hire one?
We stock a range of quality Trek Bikes, helmets and safety gear by 100%, as well as some experts with a few tips and tricks up their sleeves. See all the bikes, details and pricing here
What time do the uplifts run in the summer?
Both the Summit Uplift and Lower Mountain Uplift operate from 9:30 – 4. On select Fridays, through the Summer we have Extended Play available where you can purchase 3 extra hours of riding for $40.
I've never ridden a Mountain Bike before can I ride Maydena?
If you have some level of ability riding a bike on the road and are confident standing up on the pedals we have beginner trails to suit. Catching our Lower Mountain Uplift to ride Dirt Surfer is the perfect introduction to mountain biking. We recommend checking out our beginner guide here for more details on how you can experience our park.
Can I ride Extended Play and not race?
Extended Play is open to everyone for $40 from 4 pm, the last bus at 6:30 pm and there is no requirement to race! Although we definitely encourage it’s a lot of fun and we have a super supportive community of riders (not to mention you get a free beer or non-alcoholic beverage too).
